My ipod earphones don't really work, i heard that if you send them in to apple through the mail, you can get free replacements? Firstly, i want to know if this is true. Secondly, if it is, how do i do it?

  1. For me, the left earbud completely fell apart. You could take out the thin mesh and look inside.

So, I took it back to an Apple Store, and (although they were reluctant to do so), they gave me a replacement pair. The left earbud on the new pair has begun deteriorating; it must just be my ear.

ANYWAYS, as long as your iPod, along with the headphones are still covered under the warranty, you can get a replacement.

  2. I've had iPods pretty much all my life... and no they don't unless its a problem that came with them. They sell the same headphones though for $30 in the apple store.. or online.
