Ipod generation upgrade ?

is it possible to upgrade an ipod? i mean generation wise. surrender your old ipod but recieve a new one from apple? is that possible? thanks guys

If apple or any other company ever did that, they'd only be losing money. You can't do that at all unless it breaks by itself and its still under warranty. Then they might give you a new ipod if they don't have old ones.

You can sell your old ipod back to apple for 10% of what the new one costs. So if you want an ipod that's $250, you get $25 for it no matter what it is. Unless it's a shuffle, I'd suggest selling it on ebay as you will definitely get more for it.
