Ipod help... plzzz help..?

Well,The ipod is actually Ma friends 'n its gonna drag me to death if u ya'll dont helpout.... Herez the problem... when i try to reduce/increase the volume the stupid ipod gets stuck..I took it to the xperts but they where'nt xpert enough to fix it... i don't have a problem buying a new one... but, he would lose tat trust 'n might hesitate to give me another electronic product...wat should i do.. Does nyone know how to fix the problem??

Try reseting the ipod firstly, this won't get rid of anything, this will just reset it:

(ipod touch/iphone) Hold the home button and the sleep/wake button at the same time for about 7 seconds untill it switches off.

(ipod) Hold the Menu and play button at the same time for about 7 seconds untill it switches off.

If it still doesnt work then try restoring the ipod, this will get rid of everything on the ipod. Just say to your friend that on itunes your computer must have deleted everything off your ipod and put all your music on, or try explaining to your friend that it wasnt your fault and y dnt u ring up apple ad explaing wats rong, they will try helping you but if this doesnt work then they will send you a free ipod
