Ipod/ itune problem?

My ipod for some reason isnt connecting to my itunes so i cant put my music on my ipod. it lights up when i plug the ipod in but thats about it. my itunes will not show that it recognizes my ipod though.

Is your computer/laptop used by Windows?

If yes, load itunes program or reinstall the program

try reseting your ipod while plugged into your computer by pressing the middle button and the top pad
