Ipod itunes help please

ok i just got a new ipod. anyway 4 weeks ago i added 54 songs on my ipod and today i went to add 4 new songs and ipod or itunes removed all 54 of my songs to add my new 4 songs

i did not disconect my ipod from my computer

ieven went to ipod/itunes support vand nothing happened i call their services# i was ask to put #s of things

let me put it this i had no idea what they were talking about this happen before i had to do it all over again

there is no way i

m adding those songs again

i removed the 54 songs from my library recycle bin weeks ago

can anyone tell me how i can get my songs back and to stop this from happenning everytime i add new songs PLEASE

  1. in your itunes Library when your adding new songs make sure they are all checked on the side.

  2. You need to choose "manually manage music and videos" in the summary of your iPod when you connect it. In the "devices" list (same place where you see playlists, etc.) click on your connected iPod and the big window area will show your iPod info. Under the summary tab (left side - should be up at default) there will be an Options area. Choose the "manually manage music and videos" button at the bottom. Then click "Apply" at bottom right. From then on you should be able to add songs and videos a few at a time, etc.

  3. you can use tune ranger to transfer whats on your ipod back to itunes
