Ipod nano error, what do i do!?!

Ive disconnected it last night and a now a message has come up saying "disk mode" at the top of the screen and then a tick and "ok to disconnect" but it wont let me do anything with it and is just froze with this on the screen!! Any ideas whats wrong?

  2. hold the center button and menu at the same time for 10 seconds it should turn off then on
