Ipod nano help??????

i have a 2nd generation ipod nano and it has been working great but recently i tried to charge it by hooking it up to the computer and usually when i do this, my iTunes pops up but now all of a sudden, it says "device could not be detected" like it cant be recognized. what can i do???? whats wrong with it!??!?! =[

The ipod might not be plugged in all the way,make sure its plugged in all the way and try taking it out and putting it back in again. If that doesnt work then you have to try restartig your computer and trying it again.

mine did tht too recently but mine completely froze b4 it happened. i unplugged it, plugged it back in, flipped the switch on the bottom so tht u c orange, and flip it back so u c white, and then hold down the menu and middle button at the same time until u c a blackish screen with an apple logo on it tht resets it and u dont lose any songs and nothing is wrong with mine now hope i helped!
