  1. Maybe it's just dead, like you have to get a new one. It could be frozen or something like that. If it's cold there, that might be why. It also could be a virus. It also depends on what kind of ipod you have.

  2. well i work for apple and if you had for more than five years then it could be going dead. but if it is a virus  than you can go to ipod.com and get the componys service number and tell them about your problem . last thing you should do is leve it until the power runs out ( you dont have to wait until its did but you could) then  plug in to your computer and dont touch anything at all on the pc or the ipod for 24hrs.

  3. depends on what version your ipod is. nano? classic? which generation

if you've had it for a while, it could be answered by your ipod finally dying out (time to get a new one) or possibly a virus that was transferred but that seems unlikely. it a worst case scenario you should restore it off itunes and then resynch it or if your warranty didn't expire yet, send it back to apple.

  4. buy a new one. problem sorted.

  5. maybe its a virus

  6. Sounds like you have the hold switch on.  Switch it to off and it should work.  If not, try syncing it to iTunes.  That should fix everything.  If it still doesn't work, then there's definitely something more wrong with it.

  7. I had this problem also with a 4th gen iPod, I sent my iPod in to a repair company since mine was over a year old.  They repaired like new and even gave the option for a new battery.  Still cheaper than buying a new one.  You could go this route also.  There are several companies on the internet that do repairs.  I used imechanics, I believe that was the name.

  8. My ipod occasionally does this. Try resetting it by holding the 'menu' (top) button and the middle button together for about 10 seconds until it shuts down, leave it for a while then try pressing the buttons again to boot it back up or it may turn on itself when its ready straight after. Resetting your ipod (instructions above) won't delete any data on your ipod. Hope that helps.
