Ipod question that i need help on

Ok, I dont know whats wrong with my ipod

but when i try to connect it, they usually say its syncing or connecting

but it doesnt;

it only charges!!

I dont know why

Do you have any ideas for it to somehow work?

1) turn computer off

2) restart computer

3) put the usb cord into a different usb slot on the back of comp. or laptop.

You need to RESET your iPod

How to reset iPod:

1.Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) for a couple of times like 5 times

2.Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons together until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 20 seconds.

what kind of ipod?

oh if its a nano try holding the center and up button for like 30 seconds. it will like reboot the nano. maybe that will help. message me if it doesnt.
