  1. If yu delet from your computer it gets deleted from your ipod when yoou sync.

The computer is the MASTER music player and file store the ipod it the PC's slave player.

when you SYNC it syncs with the PC.  thats why its called syncing.

You have thrown away your music.  NEVER EVER ALTER the contents of your itunes folder or its library  as once gone its GONE>

You would have been better getting a new hard drive for your PC as my phone nearly that amount of storage in it!

there is not fix for engaging fingers before brain!

unless you were thoughtfull enough to have BACKED up what you deleted its gone forever

  2. You have a 20 Gb PC??? Anyway it's still a lot of music, maybe you could try going into settings in i-tunes and set it to syncronise manually instead of automatically and you can add the music which you tick instead of it wiping the ipod and reinstalling the music on your ipod every time you syncronise.  It might not work, but then again it might. Best of luck but maybe you should consider buying a bigger hard drive.

  3. on my mac if i hold down the ctrl and command keys it stops my ipod from automatically updating. There must be an windows equivalent. Hope this helps.
