Ipod touch DFU mode help?

How do you get your ipod touch running 2.0 into DFU and how do you SHIFT-RESTORE?

plug it in to ur computer

turn the ipod off

hold down home AND on/off for 3 seconds

let go of on/off,

if you get any sort of apple onscreen, you failed,

try again...:)

that's all there is to it

to shift restore,

you hold down shift, then click restore in itunes.

it brings up a menu so you can choose your custom firmware

1. Plug into computer.

2. Hold Home and Power for EXACTLY 10 seconds

3. Let go of power button but NOT home.

4. Let go of home button around 7-10 sec later.

Your computer should recognize a device, that will let you know it's in DFU mode.
