Question:

Ipod touch? Please help!?

My daughter is 14 and wants an ipod touch. She mainly wants it so that she can use the internet whenever she wants. Her 15th birthday is in September and I would like to get it for her but I don't want to have to pay a monthly charge for the internet. Does anyone know if I have to pay a monthly or yearly charge or do I only have to make one payment and she gets unlimited access to the internet?

Much thanks,

Kate

  1. With iPod touches, you actually don't pay for internet.  You only use WiFi access whenever you're near one, so she won't have constant internet access, only when she's near a WiFi hotspot.  If she wants constant internet, she'll need an iPhone, which, of course, does have a charge.  There is no inernet payment for the iPod, you just use free WiFi to access it.

Yes, WiFi is just another term for wireless internet.

  2. on the ipod touch there is no charge for the internet all you need is wifi already hooked up in your house or wherever you live hope this helped
