you should upgrade then jailbreak coz upgrading leads to locking the ipod touch again...

I think you should stay at 1.1.4 just beacuse its the safest ver to jailbreak on 2.0 just came out and still has bugs when jailbroken so i think jailbreak now and just keep a list of the apps you like so then when you upgrade you have the name of the app and can get to have app store and your old apps back.

When jailbreaking its always better to keep it safe.
