Ipod touch software update 2.0.1.....all the songs have gone now, need help to restore them?

i did the update, no button to press back up and now the update has completed all the songs purchased and saved have gone.......is there a way to get this back??

Especially the songs purchased

They should still be in your library

it syncs with what itunes tells it to - did you do the update on another computer as it will sync with that computer not your last one.

make sure you pair it with your normal computer and sync and it will sync all songs that are in the library that you tell it you want to sync with.

if the song is no longer in the library it will not be put on the ipod.  the itunes is the MASTER player and file store the ipod is just a slave MP4 player linked to that itunes.
