Ipod touch wifi subsription?

Is there a way to subscribe to get permanent wifi on my ipod touch, or do i have to be around a wireless network to do this?

You have to be around a wireless network for you to be able to use the wi-fi.

The iPod touch is similar to a notebook computer in the way that it accesses the internet. It must be able to access a wireless internet connection. There is not anyway to use the internet everywhere you go. The wifi feature on the iPod doesn't require a subscription either.
