Ipod video help?!?!!!

ok i downloaded some music videos and movies and i used the itunes converter for 2 videos cause i thought i had to. but now theres no sound. the music videos are in a quicktime format and the movies are in a mpeg 4 format. i dont have my ipod yet so i cant tell on my own. so do i need to convert it or can i just put them on my ipod like that?

  1. Yeah for all iPods, video files have to be in mpeg-4 format.

    I recommend downloading the Videora iPod converter from videora.com. It's free and easy to use and has never given me any problems. It'll convert any type of video to the right file format for your iPod.

    Also, if you download your videos from iTunes, they will automatically be in the right format.

  3. As long as they are in mp4 they should be good to go. You can check the format by right clicking the file and sellecting properties. The first tab will or may say mp4 but check the details tab, which is the last tab and see what it says it may say something different. If it also says mp4 then it should deffinetly work. The new gen ipod uses  mp4 and h.264, which is a hidef format for mp4.
