Question:

Ipod video vs. Zune 30 Gb?

Okay....

So my ipod video is about to croak on me, and I really want to get a Zune player, but I'm not sure if it's all that it's cracked up to be. My ipod video has really sucky battery life, and it's also splitting apart at the sides. I couldn't get through a movie because the fully-charged battery would die within the hour. Anyway, if I get a Zune, I'm probably going to get the Zune Pass, but I don't really know anything about it...What are the Pros and Cons of the Zune and Zune Pass? Should I get a Zune or some other mp3 player? I'm not getting another ipod because I have had so many problems with Apple. If you do suggest that I get a different mp3 player, it has to be at the least 30 GB...

Thank you for taking the time to read my rant. I really appreciate it! =D

P.S. I do know about the whole DRM music issue with putting purchased itunes music on the Zune. It made me realise how filthy, scamming, and mangy the Apple company is!

  1. We've got a Zune and have never had a problem with it.  My technophobe boyfriend can sync music to the player, and that's a significant feat for him, lol.  The videos look pretty nice, the sound quality is good, and it hasn't done anything funky yet to cause us concern.  There are people who have issues with it, but I see a whole lot more with problems with an iPod, so I'm sticking to the Zune.

I don't know anything about the Zune pass; the music that we put on there are things we ripped from our own collection.  As far as using iTunes songs on the Zune, simply burn them to a CD and rip them back off -- no DRM to mess with and works great in the Zune.
