Ipswich Town forward Connor Wickham on verge of becoming a Premier League player
Championship side Ipswich Town have hinted at selling their leading forward Connor Wickham to one of the leading Premier League sides.
The news came after the talented striker was reportedly linked with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Premier League clubs only if the price tag justifies Wickham’s talent.
The teenager is already a part of England’s Under-21 squad and has managed over 50 appearances for the Tractor Boys. He has also scored 9 goals so far in his career with Ipswich.

The youngster on the other hand seems flattened at the amount of interest that he has been able to generate from the top clubs and would certainly be moving to any one of them soon.

The manager admitted the fact that he has not received any bids for the youngster since he took over as the club manager but even if he gets one, he will have to think twice before deciding upon the striker’s future.

The English striker has been under the scanner of many top clubs and it is expected that the teenager will make a move up from the Championship into the Premier League come the 2011 summer transfers.
