Ipswich Town wants Habib Beye on loan
The English Championship side Ipswich Town have expressed their desire to get Senegal international Habib Beye on loan.
The 33-year-old defender is currently a part of the English Premier League side Aston Villa. Habib is quite a useful defender who can play both as a right back and central defender. He came to Villa Park in 2009, after spending 2 years with the Toons.
His physical nature of play has already seen many top strikers being stopped in their tracks. As a result, the 33-year-old has always remained a source of interest for most of teams.
At the moment, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Jewell has shown an interest in signing the 33-year-old
on loan and straightaway involving him in his plans.
This would allow the defender to get the desired amount of football under his belt and also prove his mettle in front of his manager. At the moment, the manager is feeling shy to involve him in the starting XI.
Jewell wants to strengthen the Tractor Boys by the signing of Beye. He already has former Fulham and Hull City playmaker Jimmy Bullard in the squad after signing him earlier in the season. One reason behind Jewell’s interest in the defender is to prepare
for the playoffs which are not that far away.
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Habib-Beye-c15504 has been mentioned and I've spoken to Aston Villa. That's something I've been trying to do to improve the squad, but there's been nothing yet," said the Ipswich manager.
Jewell certainly wants the defender on loan till the end of the season as he believes that the presence of experience in his side could see them through the playoffs.
"We are trying to bring a couple of players into the squad, as I have been since I've been here." Jewell said.
Ipswich Town are currently lying 13th in the Championship table and are just 11 points adrift of the 6th spot.
