Iqbal Qasim, the chief selector of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), is satisfied with the national side’s performance in the second of the three-match Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 at Colombo.
The Green Shirts have not performed up to expectations in the on-going tour, losing the ODI series and leveling the T20s. The home team is currently leading the Test series 1-0, after the Pakistani batsmen miserably failed to cope with the Lankan bowlers
in the Galle Test.
However, Misbah-ul-Haq’s men bounced back in the second Test and posted a massive total of 551 runs for the loss of six wickets before declaring the first innings.
Younis Khan, who looked completely out of sorts during the ODI series last month, found form in the first Test and scored an impressive 87 to answer his critics in style.
The former left-arm spinner is happy with the team’s progress and hopes that the boys will carry on with the momentum.
Qasim expressed, “It’s a good to see him scoring runs in the Tests. He has regained his form which is a good sign for the team. We’re satisfied with his performance. The team has fought back with a good batting show in the second match and that’s also a
good sign.”
Last month, the top-order batsman was criticized by Qasim for not performing up to the mark and hinted about his exclusion from the 50-overs squad. It remains to be seen whether the former Pakistan captain is selected for the limited-overs series against

“The team’s performance is very good which means not much work is needed to be done by the selection committee,” he added.
