Iqbal Qasim, the chief selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has admitted that middle-order batting has been a problem for the national team and also made it clear that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Younis-Khan-c98325 will have to prove his form in domestic cricket to regain his place
in the One Day International (ODI) side.

the T20 series and losing the ODIs by a close margin of 3-2.
Apart from a few individual performances, Pakistan’s batsmen failed to deliver the goods against the Proteas, which was one of the major reasons behind the team’s downfall in the Test series as well as in the ODIs.

The former cricketer, while speaking to Pakpassion, expressed that he wants the middle-order batsmen to work harder in the preparatory camp for the mega event, which is likely to be conducted next month.
“The focus of my selection committee and I is on the middle order. It’s a problem and we are looking to address it. There will be a camp ahead of the Champions Trophy and hopefully the team management and players will look at this problem and instigate plans
to combat the issue,” said Qasim.
While commenting on Younis’ exclusion from the ODI side, the former left-arm spinner said that the right-hander needs to improve his game in the limited-overs sport, urging the cricketer from Mardan to prove his potential in domestic cricket.
The chief selector added, “It’s not for me to say when a player’s career is over in any format. What we need from Younus is for him to work hard on his game, make runs in domestic cricket in the one day format and we will then look at his performances.”
