israel will win any regional conflict

the very very worst situation for israel would be if it nuked it's attackers and left the middle east a toxic sheet of glass.  

but even then.. you need to realize.. most "israeli's dont even live in israel.. even if their country was destroyed. they would survive.. they would continue.. but their attackers would be for the large part annihilated

at least recently there were more jews in NYC than in israel..

  Well, Isreal has the best trained soldiers in the world, but they must fight Pakistan.  The USA has tight relations with Isreal, and might get involved.  I think Isreal would win, because the USA would probaly help them.

Israel and Iran are gonna become a side issue again once the new cold war gets started again, Russia threatening to take action against Poland for putting patriot missiles on their territory is a more pressing issue.  The middle East will become a side issue again, and not before time.

Israel, no doubt. First of all, they have a very advanced conventional military (non-nuclear), in large part due to aid / alliance with the U.S, which has allowed them to win every single war they have been in, defeating all their neighbors at least once.

Secondly, for a while now there has been speculation that Iran is working to develop its first nuclear missles. If this is true, they would still be very crude missles, not very powerful, as to be expected of the first ones a country creates. Israel on the other hand, has over 100 fully functioning, advanced missles and the ICMS's to deliver them. Checkmate.
