  1. That they are no paper tiger . There is venom in there fangs .

  2. They are just waving their little male parts around to try to convince that they are bigger then they really are. If they get too bold we'll make Mullah strew with their sorry little butts

  3. Intimidate the World.

  4. They are just showing us how peace loving they are, and how much they want us to go over a give them a great big hug!

  5. lets just say WW III is around the corner

  6. they are trying to prove that they now  have the capability to attack or retaliate after being attacked.

  7. Cheesh...from some of these answers, it sounds as though you cons can't wait to start bombing Iran.  You young ones should also start thinking about how you'll look in uniform.  I don't know where else, but a draft, they will be able to get enough people to fight another country with what's left of our very tired "volunteer" troops.  If Russia, China and Syria back up Iran, it will be WW III.  I am much more worried that Israel will make the first move and expect the US to back them.  I hope Obama gets a chance to try diplomacy first!!!

  8. To understand the perspective of Iran, you have to have to look at the world globe.  They call the USA "The Great Satan", and they used to call the Soviet Union, "The Lesser Satan".  You may not agree with them, but from their perspective, they are surrounded.

The US Navy supply-line has a choke-point at the Straights-of-Hormuz.  The US Navy needs free passage in this straight for both oil to flow from the Mideast oil-producing countries and for a supply-line to US troops stationed in Iraq.  If you look at the map, the US Navy has Iran flanked to the South with superior Naval power.  The US Navy has Iran flanked to the West via the Persian Gulf.

The US Military cannot give up the Straights of Hormuz nor the Persian Gulf because of its strategic value to supply troops in Iraq.

To the West of Iran, by land, the US military has flanked Iran.  The the East or Iran, by land, the US military has flanked Iran, also by land.

Now, Pakistan is fighting the terrorist camps in Pakistan.  It seems that Pakistan has made a choice and the choice is to fight the terrorists!  Good choice!

To the North, Iran faces the former Soviet Union both by land and by sea.

Remember the signal.  "One if by land, two if by sea, three if by both!!!"

According to Congressman Ron Paul (who is old and knows a lot because he has been around a lot), says that the US government began interfering in the internal affairs of Iran since 1953.  So if you think that Iran is crazy to call the US "The Great Satan", they are not talking about good US Citizens, they are talking about dirty politics by the CIA, the same organization that brought us the Iraqi occupation because it was a "slam dunk" that Iraq was on the verge of developing nuclear weapons.

To answer  the question, Iran is rattling sabers and beating the war drums as a warning.  As to what they think that they can do, I don't know, but as we flank them to the West, they flank us to the East, and who has our back?  Syria!

I would like to see the US military leave Iraq as soon as it is safe to leave without leaving too much of a power-vacuum.

The US, being in Iraq is not helping.  Being in Iraq is destabilizing the region.

The proof is that oil prices are going up -- not down!

  9. Iran has a real problem on their hands. They have an American right wing screwball singing, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran. Wouldn't you be nervous if you were them?

  10. Let's just snap to realty for a second...

Ballistic missile technology will soon turn 70 years old. A crude low-range version can be made by a group of enthusiasts of high shool age.

Nuclear bomb technology is 63 and counting. The principals of operation are in college texbooks. The design of actual devices is really simple.

Do we really expect to keep the world from developing these things indefinetely?  Should we also try to keep them from developing steam engines as well?

This was bound to happen. Any polititian attuned to future problems should anticipate these countries eventially aquiring the capabilities that were available when my granddad was in college.

  11. Just a few days ago ,Iran's leader's were saying they do not want war with Israel or the U.S. and turn around and fire test Missiles! That is as flip floppy as Obama has been on his great change sermons! Iran is led by a mad man who will except nothing less than the total annihilation of Israel, and I think that Israel must make a first strike against Iran to counter the ineffable! Collateral damage is always a part of most any War and it plays a role in the planing of a Military strike by Nations who try to minimize this type of destruction, sadly Iran's leaders are heartless and will use Collateral damage as a tool for Propaganda. Iran is telling the World we are ready for war!

  12. They are sending a statement. They are still trying to produce nukes also. The question is should we attack them now or wait until thay have nukes and ICBM's to attack. These people hate America and Israel. Mutual assured destruction doesn't work with these radicals. They are the ones who strap bombs to their bodies to take out a few people or fly planes into buildings. We could hit most of their military sites with sub launched missles. I don't see any need to invade. Lets just make sure they have no ability to attack anyone.

  13. That they have (had) 6 missiles!------ This is a very great feat of superiority We were not able to do that until about 1958.

They should feel very powerful indeed! We had Operational ICBMs with Nuke Warheads in place in 1961. Having the Missile is about as good as a gun without ammunition!

If anything, they have only insured that the Israelis will be looking to take them out sooner rather than later! Kind of a dumb move on Iran's part!
