Iran or Israel, which is well equipped and better positioned to help US win the hearts and minds in M. E. ?

The Middle East is consisted of more than 32 Muslim states. Which country can assist US in a better and effective job to win the hearts and minds ?

Umm... do you know how conflicted we are with Iran right now? It's not exactly like we're in a position to propose an alliance with them... they hate us being there too, why would they help us?

Israel is one of our greatest allies, but it's not Muslim (obviously). Muslims aren't going to relate to a US-Israel alliance (obviously).

So neither, Iran is impossible and Israel is not positioned very well.

I would say Saudi Arabia would be a better selection... techincally they are an ally (of sorts), and we trade with them a lot... the government is highly US-friendly (well they have to be, we give them their paychecks), but they aren't going to pose us harm.

I think Iran is a better option but even Iran is not very popular among the gulf states its ceartainly well more liked than Israel.

I think iran would do a better job than Israel but it won't be very effective since sunni countries are suspicous of Shiite Iran....but then again Iran isn't rounding off thousands of palestinans into prisons and camps either

Obviously the Muslim states. The second biggest religion in the world. The most peaceful religion.

If the U.S. Government had any brains, of course they would be better off being allies with Iran over Israel. If that were the case, Israel would probably stop the genocide against the Palestinians because they wouldn't have U.S. backing and wouldn't be able to stand alone. And stand alone is exactly what they would be doing because every other nation in the U.N. recognizes what they are doing as a violation of human rights.
