Nobody wins in a war. If the US attacked Iran it would be seen by all the countries in the world as an act of terrorism. US bases world wide would be seen as terrorist cells and all Americans in those bases would all become prisoners of war. The USA would be told to hand over all of it's weapons of mass distruction. If they didn't the US will face the same total distruction and anilation as the US did to Baghdad.

With American civilians "Right To Carry Arms" would be seen as a threat being they have guns, so they would shot on sight. War is ugly and many innocent people loose there lives.

In the event of a conflict between the US and Iran (which is by no means assured), the US need do nothing more than to blockade the ports and borders --- which is trivial to do.  Since Iran imports almost all of its gasoline, the country would quickly collapse.

The will to breath free from the oppression of dictators and fascists is much stronger than the will to supress freedom and liberty. The U.S. would win!

The United States would win.  American's would fight harder because we have more (as citizens) to lose than the Iranian people do.
