No. I respect American people but it's obvious that US raped and intimidated the whole world. Why did Israel stay in Lebanon as long as it needed to root out Hezbollah and Bush didn't express concern in spite of huge casualties among civilians? Are Lebanese worse than Georgians?Why can't  Russia stay in Georgia as long as it needs to eliminate any further Georgian attacks? Such an approach is unjust and everybody sees it. Condi is playing a dangerous game now. US can loose the world leadership. If US fails to return South Ossetia and Abkhasia to Georgia, it will be start of the end to American domination. Such policy is not in interest of American people and this suggests that America is not ruled by Americans.

Does no one remember Two Burning Twin Towers and the Pentagon and 4 Planes overtaken by terrorists.  How can we as the strongest country in the world, stand by and do nothing?  With my husband currently on his second tour in Iraq, He has seen first hand how we are making a difference for the Iraqi people that are not radical muslims and do actually appreciate what we do to help build their country.  Watch Home of the Brave!  My husband and one of his battle buddies had to take it out because it was so realistic.  But my favorite line out of that movie said, "We're building a country.  We did it here 200 years ago.  It isn't easy.  Read a history book!"  To wish the other replied, "Read a Newspaper!"  To which I've seen first hand is not ever the complete truth!  The Media lies... I just wish people would stop blaming the President or the gas prices for all their problems in life.  The buck stops here.  I am responsible for me!  Ok enough of my soap box.  Regardless of my beliefs, I just want to mention that I totally understand and agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  That is what makes this Great Country so great!  God Bless America!

We were attacked.... America responded. Now it can be argued that this or that should have or have not been done, however it should be clear at this point that it is absolutely NOT a good idea to start a war with America nor is it wise to continually threaten America as Iraq had and as Iran is doing. Come the day that war erupts it won't be words any longer. Learn to live in peace and these things won't happen... that's the real answer.

What GWB did was THROW out the JFK/LBJ book on "How to Win Wars and Influence Allies" that those Gomers wrote in the '60s in Vietnam and he wrote his OWN book.

The main tenets to this NEW book are that you let the citizens of this new country elect their repesentatives as EARLY as possible (unlike Vietnam) and you make sure that your new country has an ally in the neighborhood (unlike the people of S. Vietnam).  Iraq is that ally to the people of Afghanistan.  GWB selected it because it would become an OIL-FUNDED democratic ally to Afghanistan.

What kills me is how many tools who've answered this question along with me are STILL toeing the line the media have been feeding us for the last FOUR or five years: It was an illegal war!  Iraq was NOT a threat!  You tools, get your heads set straight!  *laughter*

no, they made up evidence of WMD's to justify a war, although i am glad saddam been removed i can help but think that theres an alterier motive to iraq. I mean why haven't they invaded north korea or iran who were/are looking for nuclear weapons and if it was about freeing the iraqi people why haven't they invaded or even spoke out against nations like saudi arabia or even china who are known human rights abusers.

This war was legitimate as Saddam Hussein was in breach of UN resolutions.

UK & USA Governments voted in favour of action.

The crazy Saddam Hussein & Sunni Muslims were raping the country.

Saddam Hussein was the weapon of mass destruction. The military weapons were removed by Russia and transported to Syria.

Wars happen because of a breakdown in law and order.

When law and order is restored peace will happen.

Just WTF had Iraq to do with the Twin Towers. It would have made more sense to go after Saudi Arabia from which a number of the perpretrators of that evil act came and whose opaque banking system allows terrorism to thrive. Oops! I forgot . We need their oil so their our allies!!

If the Intel is true and there were really Iraq people those who crushed in the E.S.B., and that was considered a national attack ... and ... a lots of and ... it is based on real facts. I guess only the US government knows. Not the people which are supposed to govern the country in a democratic way ;).

Anyway ... it exist in the actual fact (the war) and  we cannot deny it ... legitimate or not ... Even so, the United Nations isn't supposed to let this happening, we should not forget that the main headquarter is in NY :)

Legitimate under the terms of the cease fire agreement which ended the Gulf War.  The terms of the cease fire included that Saddam Hussein stop research in to WMD's, stop manufacturing WMD's and destroy the stock piles he had of WMD's.  The WMD's he was known to have was chemical weapons (nerve gas) which he had and had used in the past against the Kurds and Iranians.  It also required the verification of compliance by UN weapons inspectors which he did not allow-thus he broke the cease fore agreement and military action taken is legitimate.
