Question:

Iraq and the US public want American troops to come home, so why do Bush/McSame want 100 more years of war?

In 2007, the US public voted out the Rubberstamp Republicans that still support Bush's war now that they know it was based on lies.

They want the Bush administration to bring the troops home, but Bush wants to create permanent bases in Iraq to secure the interests of his political donors in the oil business.

McSame says that he wants to keep Bush's war going for another 100 years.

But then, his big donors also own oil companies, so he takes a "special interest" in keeping the war going for them.

Iraq has been trying to get the US to sign a paper to put and end to Bush's war and occupation of their country, but to no avail.

Why do Bush and McSame want to keep their war going for another 100 years in Iraq despite the wishes of the US public, the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people?

  1. Bush and McCain are listening to the wishes of their big political donors.  They could care less what the American public wants, let alone the Iraqis.

They've got their eyes on Iran's oil and they feel the best way to get it is to attack from Iraq.  That's why they want the permanent bases.

  2. We have had military bases around the world since we could travel around the world.  None of the future Presidents are going to bring them home since they are all told that we need to keep an eye on the potential enemies to prevent things like Sept 11, Pearl Harbor or the Hitler regime - even though they didn't.

It would be nice to think that the world could live together in peace, but look at Russia and Georgia.  Why did Russia attack Georgia?

Obama/Biden don't want to bring the soldiers home from around the world either.  Just ask them - if they will respond.  Obama never has responded to me.

Personally, I think Ron Paul had the right idea.  If we were minding our own business, why would another country want to attack us?  Look at all the money we could put back in our treasury to get us out of debt to communist China.

We have a lot of issues that are not going to be resolved overnight - no matter who is leading our nation.  We're in a mess.

So I'm voting this time on moral values for the innocent who can't speak up for themselves - the millions of unborn children whose lives are sacrificed so their parents are not inconvenienced.

  3. Like most libs your facts are skewed. McCain said he would keep the troops there for 100 years if needed. We have had troops in Japan and Germany for the last 60 years at the request of those countries. If Iraq wants us out by 2010 (not today) then we will be out.

  4. The bush and mccain groupies are nuts,  they all want war, bush is nothing but a warmonger, and by the way mccain talks he is too. I hope the clinton groupies get smart and dont vote for mccain just out of spite, and that is what it looks  like is going to happen, I cant understand why people would vote for one man just because the woman they wanted to have in the white house is not going to be their. instead, they would let our country stay in war  , it is so childish it is sickning.  lets grow up America before you lose your nose out of spite.

  5. Another person who only listens to half of the story and makes up the rest.  McCain doesn't want to keep the Iraq war going for 100 years.  He never said that.  He never implied that.  It is simply made up.  He did say that there COULD BE troops in Iraq for 100 years but he has never even advocated that.  He just mentioned the possibility once.

I love how people try to tie Bush and McCain to oil companies but always forget that Al Gore's fortune all came from oil.

Neither Bush nor McCain want the war to last 100 years.  They have both called for the troops to be removed as soon as possible but Bush didn't want to set a time table without the Iraqi input.  Now that the Iraqi's are ready to take over, the Bush administration has been discussing the timetable with them.

The US public voted out the "Rubberstamp Republicans" in 2006 and instead got a bunch of Democrats that have continued to fund the war they were supposedly against without question.  A lot of good it did.

  6. War is good business for the military/industrial complex. you know the one that Eisenhower warned us about back at the end of the fifties.  The big player these days Is Halliburton/KBR,  How much is the government spending to fund this war? well who do you think is getting this money? and then you have think about who are the major players in these companies. they are the ones who really want the war to continue. more free money them and their stockholders.

  7. Which people in Iraq and which US public are you speaking for? What gives you the right to speak for the rest of us? Typical liberal. In case you forgot, the majority of the voters chose President Bush. Let's wait and see what happens in November. I hope you can live with the results.

PS. We have been in Germany and Japan for over 60 years and there is no end in sight.
