  1. Any kind of snacks he likes.

Condoms - They can be used for other things beside s*x.

Tampons - great medical aid for stuffing bullet holes

Baby wipes - always come in handy

    p**n - absolute necessity

    Reading Material

Drink mix - I like the Propel powder

  2. Get him some snacks, yum!

  3. Snack food is always good, ask if he has access to a microwave, stuff like mac and cheese is a nice break from the usual Chow Hall food.  See if he has a video game system or a dvd player.  Most of the basics are easy to come by right now because of military run stores over there.  A good idea for future use or the holidays would be to have him right up a list of movies he would like to own, it's easy to come by in the states and cheap to ship.  While I'm sure he would like to have the p**n, just remember that service members are not allowed to have it.  If you do sent it, make it discrete, if someone higher up see him open it, they may take it away.

  4. here is a list that i helped compile.

they can not have p**n. when a package gets sent over there it is thrown into a big pile to be disbursed. a lot of times, unfortunately, people rifle through the boxes looking for expensive items and contraband. if a service member is found with it, they can get into major trouble. trust me i tried to send things to my husband and it didnt work out too well.

on the left hand side you will see a menu for other lists, including food, fun stuff and how to package them

  5. Snack foods. Can foods that can be microwaved, As far as p**n, technically, the service member is not supposed to have it.

  6. It is nice that you want to send your Friend a Care Package...

You "Can Not send him any p**n"...it is forbidden...

If the USPS or US Customs finds it you can go to Jail...

and if he is caught with it...he to will sufferer...gravely.

You cannot send any Playboy type mags either...

    No Booze

    No Drugs

Chocolate Bars will be soup as it is 140 degrees over there..

Nothing "Homemade" it will rot before he gets it...

You can go to www.anysoldier.com and click on what to Send...

There is a whole list of suggestions...

Beef Jerky is always a good call...

  7. - snack food - small bags, crackers, cookies, chips, fruit rolls, gum, hard candies, chocolate is not good to ship

    - jerky - anyyy kind, beef sticks, homemade even, good assortment

    - chapstick  - is is in the 100's a big part of the year

    - toiletries - babywipes, toothpaste, toothbrush, hand cream/sanitizer, small bottles of shampoo, samples sizes can fill a bag quickly and you can get a pretty good mix of things, q-tips, soaps

    - books - mags or paperbacks, football seasons coming up..lots out there.

    - disposable camera's

    - games - cards, dominoes, hand-held games

    - small can servings of meals - there's a pretty wide assortment of what's available, chili cans heat up in short time on the hood of a humvee

    - local newspapers from home - they'll read it front to back for news about something from home.

    - pictures - if he's a good friend have some of your buddy's take a roll of pictures telling him hi from home (ok, some may think quirky but both of mine enjoy seeing pics of family and friends - when they're missing holidays and family events it lets them know what's going on)

Use your imagination and have fun putting one together - if there's a holiday coming up pack it for then.  They got a birthday coming up - small pkg'd pound cake/can icing and you got the fixings for a cake. My favorite pics were what one plt did with the easter bunnies and egg dyes one year - they made great target practice and a distraction if only for a short time.
