Iraqis, what do they think?

1. What do they think about the occupation

2. We label all the people who attack us, invaders in their country, trying to change their way of life, as radical Muslim terrorists. I am not saying that these don't exist or don't make up a lot of the attacks on the troops. But certainly there's a possibility that these guys are pissed off because we invaded their country. How many people here would sit by idly if America was invaded, I know I wouldn't.

3. Do they even want democracy and our screwed up moral beliefs. As far as I know, Islam condemns pretty much 90% of anything that Americans think is hip.

4. Do you think we invaded to overthrow a despotic leader who was committing crimes against humanity because he was committing crimes against humanity or because of another reason.

Before 2003 there were rainbows, unicorns and baby milk factories as far as the eye could see (sigh).

Saddam imposed an apartheid of Sunni control and invaded 2 of his neighboring countries.  The revisionist history is sickening. Now is the time to find out what exactly the Iraqi people want.  If their elected leaders ask the US to leave we will and gladly.

4. No we didnt do it because of any moral obligation. We never have before; there's always something else attached and we use the moral obligation as a cover. I really dont know why we invaded iraq.

1. I think most of them actually are ok with it. they just don't like us that much, but if they had to choose, i think they'd choose for us to stay a bit longer

2. yes, some of them are just pissed off. Thats why we should plan on leaving as our means of victory. There isn't any possible way we can "defeat" them, then leave.

3. They do want their own democracy. They value freedom just like everybody else. The thing is, they deserve the freedom to elect officials we disagree with too. So they won't be like us, but they will be free.

THINK!  IT ALL PERTAINS TO RELIGION.  They can't get along!  Some like to cut heads off!!   It all goes back to history.  This was going on back, way back......So called christains , priest  took women to the stake, and burned them alive!,   Somebody said she was a witch.  What a bunch of stupid people back then.   I see no differance!  its the same oh c**p.  

     I believe most iraqis are desent people.  They don't have an ideal how it is supposed to be......PEACE  that is!

Iraq was invaded because Bush, Blair and all leading intelligence experts sincerely believed that Saddam had WOMD and had used them on his own people and was very likely to use them again perhaps on all of us, and the UN Inspectorate was just too feeble and incompetent to find them... Had the WOMD actually been found after the invasion, as everybody expected they would be, Bush would go down in history as a great statesman, equivalent to Roosavelt. Instead because they were not found most people today mostly seem to agree it was a huge mistake to invade that country in tandem with taking our eye off the ball in Afghanistan. So GWB is now regarded by many as the USA's worst ever President and Blair is similarly regarded in the U.K.

BUT Nobody has ever as yet answered the question WHERE ARE THEY NOW viz. the WOMD that Saddam did have AND USED AGAINST HIS OWN PEOPLE but are not now in Iraq? So where are they now? Until that question is answered we can not form any realistic conclusions.

I was in Baghdad in 1999 and it was a peaceful place with smiling and welcoming people. I believe that Iraqis must feel that they were better off before 2003.
