Question:

Ireland? Can anyone tell me the best place to vacation?

I've always wanted to visit Ireland but do not know anything about it other than what I see on TV: The rolling hills dotted with sheep and arrayed in beautiful green, green grass, the castles that I imagine have mysterious stories behind the beautiful architecture and the friendly pubs. Is Ireland anything like this? Or is there anywhere in Ireland like this that I could go?

  1. The irish tourist board is called bord failte, you can arrange your trip to include castles and the like.

Ireland is generally a friendly place, dublin, the capital city is like any modern western city, but it is a friendly city where you can get directions from a stranger who will help.

The irish country side is lush and green, The western sea board is one of the best ways to travel. Kerry to Donegal. This will give you the best insight into ireland.

  2. Many rural parts of Ireland are like that still. I would suggest perhaps Donegal, Mayo, Galway, Cork or Kerry. Basically along the whole west side of Ireland. Car hire is a good option for this kind of trip as rural areas have less transport services. I recommend this website to help you plan your trip, and book everthing you need through it. It has really good deals on accommodation and car hire and is much better than the tourist board (board failte) site as they only advertise, but this site lets you book and pay for everything online to save a lot of hassle. They also provide a wide range of activities, detailed maps, weather forecasts and so on. Have a nice trip!

    The website is called:

    http://www.weloveweekends.com

  3. I was in Donegal just last week.

IT IS GORGEOUS!! You MUST visit there sometime!!

  4. I suggest go to Galway my cousins live there and i  sometimes drive up. It's really lovely there. The drive Is beautiful. Try finding hotels online or try a nice B&B.

  5. Parts of Ireland are like that but its a pretty out dated view of here. If you want to see rolling hills with sheep go to the west of Ireland like galway. More precisely Connemara. Thers a lovely town there called clifton. I used to vacation there. If you want to see the cities then go to Dublin, Cork and Limerick(where Im from). Most tourists travel around so you should spend a few days in different places. If your traveling around you should use a train or bus to go from city to city but hire a car if your going to rural areas. If you have any questions just email me at donal.13@gmail.com

  6. Your description sounds like Kerry.  Try the Dingle peninsula, and maybe west Cork as well.  Anywhere along the west coast is nice really
