Delighted, over-the-moon are some of the phrases I would use. Any coach, no matter how good he is or how well he's done has to leave after a certain amount of time. And seeing as Eddie wasn't exactly doing well over the last year, it's about time he left.

I think he had his moments, but overall thikn a new coach was well over due. waiting to see it the next one will be.....!

Oh come on, everyone new he would go after the disaster at the 6 nations. Irelands performance was capped off by Bernie Jackman nailing Ryan jones to put wales up 4 and make us go for the try.  I just hope we dont get that ******** from Munster as our next manager. Id prefer a bloody englishman then him, and that IS saying something. Overall he was a great manager but he got what was comig to him.

Seeing as he stabbed Warren Gatland in the back when he was Ireland coach, he's finally done the decent thing. Ireland have been a mediocre side for such a long time now, it was time for a change!

Expected, I think everyone knows that some fresh air needed to be blown into the Irish team, it was getting stale.  The talent is there, but someone new is required to get them to click and achieve their potential.

both, I thought he was a great coach, ok fair enough we were c**p in the world cup and the 6 nations, so I was expecting him to go. other than this year, the previous years he was great, so I'm shocked aswell.
