The natural resources of ireland are natural gas, petroleum, peat, copper, lead, dolomite, barite, limestone, gypsum, silver and some zinc.

We export standard things most countries trade in such as  machinery and equipment, computers, chemicals, pharmaceuticals; live animals, animal products.

Irelands economy has boomed since the 90s. This is thanks to tax breaks for large multinational corporations who use the country as a handy, english speaking, highly educated work force which allow them access to the european union.

Irelands educated work force has encouraged the setting up of large plants and offices by large internet and computing businesses such as intel, dell, ebay, creative and the mighty google!!
