What are some similarities between Ireland and the Russia?

Gouvernment: very similar, loads of corruption, but no killing of journalists - certain Irish politicians are just good friends with their bosses...

Weather: very different, we have only a cool wet season and a cold wet season. No extremes like in Russia, average temperature in January +8, average temperature in July +16,

Social life: people meet in pubs a lot, drinking at home is not very usual in Ireland, but I don't know about Russsians.

Food: Irish food used to be bad news, but now we are getting people back from Europe who got a taste of proper food, so it's getting better inside the country as well. Russians have a very good indiginous cuisine, haven't they?

errrm they both like drinking an awful lot

just substitute vodka for guiness

other than that there really are no similarities

Family seems to be important to both.

Rural russia and old rural ireland seem to have many similarities,folk songs ,dances,gatherings.

More or less only know russia to look at,sorry.
