Kicking off the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Europe Women's T20 Qualifiers, the Ireland Women secured a narrow 2-wicket win over the Scotland Women at the Bready Cricket Club in Magheramason, Bready on August 14.
The Ireland Women won the toss and put the Scotland Women to bat first, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kari-Anderson-c70292 (38*) went on
to set up a 2nd-wicket 43-run partnership which got the team up to 72 by the 12th over.
Urquhart was dismissed in the 12th over, stumped by wicketkeeper Mary Waldron off http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Eimear-Ann-Jermyn-Richardson-c55815. Her successor Samantha Haggo made a contribution of 6 runs, in addition to establishing a 16-run 3rd-wicket stand with Anderson. Their
efforts got the team total up to 88, after which Haggo was caught out by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cecelia-Nora-Isobel-Mary-Joyce-c49365 off Laura Delany in the 16th over.
Kathryn White was up next, but her stay at the crease did not last long, and she was run out after a contribution of 2 runs. Lynne Dickson, however, fared a little better, contributing 10 runs along with setting up a 19-run stand with Anderson. She was run
out on the last ball of the final over, and Scotland eventually finished at 113 by the end of 20 overs.

Skipper Isobel Joyce (4) and her twin sister Cecelia Joyce (1) fell prey to Wheeler - both batters were sent packing in the 3rd over, by which point Ireland were at 8 for 4. However, salvation was at hand in the form of Kim Garth (43) and Laura
Delany (31), both of whom joined forces for a 5th-wicket 75-run stand.

unbeaten, and succeeded in taking their side up to 116, with 2 wickets and 3 deliveries remaining.
