Ireland all set to host Bangladesh in a three-match T20 series in July – Cricket News Update

This was confirmed by the Cricket Ireland in an official release on Sunday. Initially the Bangladesh cricket team was scheduled to tour Ireland for a One Day International series in July, but the BCB requested their Irish counterparts to change the
format to T20, so that both the teams could have some extra practice ahead of September’s esteemed World T20 Championship.
Excited to host Bangladesh in a T20 series, Ireland coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Philip-Verant-Simmons-c82175 hoped the series would give them valuable preparation in a build up to the world championship.
"It's great news that we're taking on Bangladesh and the games will give us valuable preparation as we build towards the World Cup in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758,” said Phil Simmons while speaking to the media reporters after Cricket Ireland confirmed the ODI series
has been changed to T20 series.
Ireland has qualified for the elite T20 championship after winning the qualifying tournament in Dubai and currently find themselves eighth in the world T20 rankings.
A total of 12 teams, divided into four groups, will be competing In September’s World T20 tournament. Ireland have been placed in Group B, along with Australia and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 have been drafted in Group D, which also contains New
Zealand and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755.
Ireland are scheduled to host Australia, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 A and Afghanistan as well this summer. The Cricket Ireland Chief Executive Officer, Warren Deutrom, said that they were happy to be able to bring top quality cricket to the country.

"Hosting matches against the Full-Member countries is exactly what we are striving for,” said Warren Deutrom, adding, “this summer proves we are on the right track with matches against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Afghanistan-c745 and now Bangladesh.”
All the three matches of the series are scheduled to be staged at Stormont, in Belfast. The Bengali Tigers are also likely to play a warm-up match against Ireland XI ahead of the three-match series.
