Cricket Ireland, on Monday announced its 13-man squad for the one-off One Day International against Australia, to be played at Stormont, Belfast, on June 23.
Middlesex seamer Tim Murtagh, who qualified for Ireland in February this year, has been named in the squad to be skippered by William Porterfield. The 30-year-old London born right-arm medium pace bowler will make his debut for Ireland, if given a chance

Currently, Murtagh is enjoying a prolific county season with Middlesex Panthers, where he has claimed 32 championship wickets from eight games at an average of 24.96, the most by any Middlesex bowler this season.

"Although http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Middlesex-c817 so that will soften the blow of losing Boyd," said Simmons, speaking to media reporters after the squad was announced on Monday.
Nial O’Brien, who pulled out of the World T20 Qualifiers in UAE to play in the Bangladesh Premier League, has also been recalled into the side. However, the coach has not guaranteed a place for the left-handed wicketkeeper batsman.
"There's no doubt he's among the best 14 players that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 have,” said Simmons of the elder O’Brien. “But Gary Wilson did superbly in the UAE, so Niall knows he's going to have work hard and be at his best to regain the gloves," the Irish coach insisted.
The squad also includes hard-hitting Kevin O’Brien, Ed Joyce and George Dockrell, all busy in playing county cricket with their respective counties.
"I've been following the English based players and there have been some fantastic performances from them at various stages this season," said the Ireland coach.
Besides the one-off ODI against Australia, the Irish cricketers are also scheduled to host http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 in a three-T20 home series in July.
