  1. See it all, its so diverse.  I've been twice and my favorite locations are the west part of the island...I fell in love with the Dingle Peninsula and the village of Dingle.  Kerry Co., Galway, the Connemara, etc.

Cork, Waterford and Dublin were other favorites as well.  My first trip was to explore the island and see as much as possible.  The second trip I revisited the locations that I enjoyed the first time around.

Best advice...know where you want to go and what you want to see and get to know the people.  Take time to talk to people in the pubs.  Wherever you go it will be a great experience.

  2. There is so much much to see and do in Ireland... from having fun in the cities like Dublin, Galway and Cork, to spending time exploring the beautiful countryside and mystic landscapes. I took my Aussie girlfriend all around Ireland... and her favorite place was Co. Kerry, especially Dingle. Check out: http://www.discoverireland.com/gb/irelan...

  3. go to Wicklow it is beautiful after all its called the garden of Ireland

it has some of the most breath taking views from powers court waterfall to Glendalough

it has every thing from lakes to mountains and beaches

history and night life check out this site it has all you need to know

  4. I've been in Cork (southern) for one week. I liked it, but it's not everyone's favorite country.

What you have to expect: In Ireland there are not many street labels so you can easily get lost there. You need to get a really good map. The weather is... rainy. It's always damp there (I think that's why the grass is so extremely green). The Irish have a lot of pubs. Where they sell their Stout (dark beer). But you have to be 18 to get into them, even if you don't order alcohol. You also can't really trust the public means of transport. Either the busses come late, soon or never. The drivers are sometimes racing each other.

Yes, that may sound quite bad, but it isn't. Ireland can be quite interesting. I've been in Cobh to visit a Titanic museum, I've seen the Cork city gael and I went to the greyhound racings.

Ireland is not everyone's cup of tea, but if you are not afraid of green and getting wet, you can go.

  5. i wanna go too =]

i have alot of family there

  6. I would recommend Dublin, it's great there, you can go shopping in town, and have loads of fun at night! It also has museums and beautiful parks (St stephens green, Botanic gardens, The kings inn, Phoenix park). Or even a little further out like Malahide, or Enniskerry (beautiful places with gordgeous scenery!) Anyway I say you should go to Dublin

  7. depends on what you want, scenery--west, Galway, Mayo Donegal, south--Kerry

    cities: dublin, cork limerick waterford

come on over, you'll feel welcome

  8. I'd go to Galway, great small city and then you can take trips out to Connemara for wild landscape or to the Burren in County Clare.

Cork is a good city for art and culture, Dublin for nightlife, Kerry or Donegal for scenery.

Probably best to avoid the midlands,

have fun, have a Guiness for me.
