Ireland: best golfing nation?

I think its definitely one of the best for the size of it. 5million people and it always has at least 2 players on the ryder cup. Thats 15% despite the fact that it only has 1% of europes population. Harrington and McDowell are really top class players as was Clarke before his wife died. McGinley used be a good player as well. McGrane is quality and Rory McIlroy is going to be an amzing professional.

it has more courses per capita/area than anywhere else in the world as well. Not bad for a small place really.

golf in ireland is lovely, except that the weather prevents playing all the time.  however, in the summer, because the sun sets later, you can play longer.

and there's nothing better than a good pint of fresh guinness after a round of 18!

probaly, people think us is the best because they always finish on the top because that's not true. It's just that they have the most players.
