Ireland captain William Porterfield urges his side to play attacking cricket against South Africa
Ireland cricket team captain William Porterfield has urged his side to play fearless cricket against tournament hot favourites South Africa in their second last group match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2011 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata

“We don't have anything to lose,” said Porterfield while talking to media persons at the pre-match conference. “There won't be many who would like to give us a chance. We've just got to go out there and play with freedom.”

The Proteas made a strong comeback after choking against England as they lost the low-scoring game by just six runs and are in pretty good form at the moment.
The 26-year-old left-handed batsman conceded that it would require a lot of effort to beat strong teams like South Africa, who are high on confidence after beating India in front of packed home crowd on Saturday.

Kevin O’Brien- Ireland’s star performer against England- has failed to perform in the last couple of games. When asked about his form, Porterfield said that the hard-hitting batsman can spark on any given day. He further added that Kevin
has had a couple of low scores in the previous games but he was not struggling for form.
Talking about the Eden Gardens’ wicket, Porterfield reckoned that it would be a good one and was hopeful that the strip offers good bounce and carry.
