Ireland continue their winning-streak as they defeat China and Egypt

Dublin (UCD), in Belfield, Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. They defeated Egypt by 2-0, even in a more convincing style.
In their first match against China, the Irish coach, Paul Revington had experimented 15 changes in the side which lost to Pakistan by 2-1 in the final of the Four-Nations tournament. David Ames is the only player who retained his place in the team
after the Four-Nations while all others players have been replaced.

In their second match, the Irish men were too dominant in the entire match having possessed the ball for most of the time in both of the halves. They applied pressure on the Egyptians in both the halves, but their efforts were rewarded in the second
half in which they scored two goals.
The first half ended at 0-0 in spite of some great efforts from both sides.
In the second half, Egyptians looked more aggressive as compared to first half and this helped the Irish side to make through their defence. The Irish men availed their chances well in the later part of the second half. The first goal was scored by
Maguire, while the second was scored by Peter Caruth from a beautiful field effort by John Jackson in the 58th minute.
