alright so my friend wants to write from Ireland to me in the US

this is my madeup address:

...should my friend..spell out CT, so Connecticut and add United States after connecticut?

  1. I used to work for UK post office and Royal mail, from what I saw during my time there, adding US or USA at the end of your address is enough and ok.


  2. No, CT is fine, it's part of the code.

    All you need do is write USA after the numbers.


  3. I would add  USA at the bottom,  but the CT part is ok.

    Make sure your friend puts the correct postage charge on the letter, for it to arrive by air mail.   The correct amount is 82 cent.
