So basically you want to know everything.  I have given a heap of websites which should keep you busy.

First website Biology.ie, check out the Links page which will give you sites with most of the natural history information you require also the Birds Ireland website.

History have included the National Museum website plus a couple of other sites.

Library Ireland website which is a resource for Irish antiquities, biography, folklore, genealogy, history (general, local and social), literature, and much more besides.

Special features, not sure what you mean but have included a few sites which might be what you are looking for.

animals nothing unusual but nothing to scare u

culture centres around music/sense of humour very dark check out father ted on utube/pubs of course

history to much to mention here but usually tangled in with england 8oo years of occupation/ the famine in the 1840s which saw the population fall from 8 million to less then 4 with emmigration right up to the mid 1990,s now one of the richest countries anywhere with a massive amount of people from eastern europe and elsewhere coming here for work(celtic tiger)oh and the troubles as we call the war in the north between catholics and prodestants from 1969/1995 peace there now.
