Ireland ready to tour Pakistan – Cricket News
Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland, Warren Deutrom, has revealed that Ireland is ready to send its cricket team to Pakistan if security assurances are met.
"The PCB needs to hear that the lines of communication are open and that we want to play cricket in their country," Deutrom told the
Press Association. "What we are saying is that we are willing to contemplate any invitation."
No international cricket has been played in Pakistan since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team outside the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, in March, 2009. Since then, the Green Shirts have been playing all their encounters
away from home.

of the major cricketing nations in the world but according to the experts, people will start to lose interest in the sport, if international matches are kept away from their soil.
The Green Shirts are presently in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751, taking part in a two-match One Day International (ODI) series against the home team. The first match of the series turned out to be a nail-biter, ending in a tie. The last fixture is going
to be played tomorrow Dublin.
The Chief Executive further added that Ireland can comprehend Pakistan’s problem and they are ready to help bring international cricket back to the South Asian country.
Deutrom added, "We have an understanding of what they are going through and we feel we are in a position where we could possibly help. We know the damage that this has to the profile of the sport in the country. Pakistan is obviously
a cricket-mad country and not having tours affects the fans and revenues."
Every team loves to play at its home soil and as per the cricket pundits; any team is likely to struggle in international cricket if they are not given a chance to play home matches. To Pakistan’s credit however, they have done
reasonably well at the highest stage of the game over the last three years.
