What is a good souvenir to bring home from Ireland?

As a memory for us?

Small gifts for family members?

I've heard things are expensive, so ideas that are not too costly.

  1. claddagh rings....traditional irish rings...cheap, pretty and very irish....and unisex.....heres the website but u can get em in carrolls......http://www.claddaghring.ie/.....maybe a cd of trad music, a book of irish ledgends or rugby jersey/gaa jersey/kiss me, im irish (tho they r sooooo cheesy!!)...carrols has lyk vrythin so check it out!! hope i helped!!

  2. Don't buy anything with a leprechaun etc cos they're all made in China, Taiwan etc.  Try to find a craft/art gallery, there are loads of brilliant ones here with paintings, crafts, jewellery etc by real Irish artists - not plastic Paddy ones!  There's an excellent one in Kilworth, Co. Cork called Fiona Turley's, I get presents for everyone there!  I'm sure there are loads more like this around the country, I just know this one because I live near it.  Basically if you go into a shop and they have anything with leprechauns or shamrocks, run a mile because it's about as Irish as the moon!

  3. 4 LEAF CLOVERS OR KEY CHAINS

  4. hi,i bought some souvenirs over there.little leprechauns, key rings, etc.guess what i found out later? the stuff i bought in Ireland, was made in China.next time im over there im only buying irish made items .i see no point in gettin a leprechaun statue that comes from shanghai.

  5. you can buy small recipe books in most tourist shops with traditional Irish dishes

  6. Go to Carrolls, You'll find EVERYTHING Irish there!

    = )

  7. Lanyards for family members for you a visit to Kissing the blarney stone at blarney castle not to expensive worth the hike up!Maybe a visit to waterford/ Crystal buy something from there Shamrock out of cut crystal or harp both symbols of ireland, another cheap thing is a license plate from an auto dealler or motorcycle dealer easy to carry home.

  8. Fridge magnets and recipe books are a great idea. The only objection I would have to buying those is that the money you pay for them goes to the printers in another country, or to a factory in Taiwan or someplace like that.

I would find a small art gallery and buy an original painting made by an artist based in Ireland.

  9. I get refridgerator magnets!
