Ireland v Bangladesh - Bangladesh tour of Ireland and Netherlands - 3rd T20I - Ireland post a tally of 140 runs - Live Score and Update
Ireland 140/8 (20/20 ov) - Ireland won the toss and chose to bat
In the three-match series finale, hosts Ireland have managed to post a reasonable total of 140 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs against tourists Bangladesh, in the match that is being played at Civil Service Cricket Club, Stormont, Belfast.
Ireland are playing for pride in this match, as the series has already been taken by Bangladesh, after winning the first two games of the tournament.
After winning the toss, Ireland chose to bat first, in a bid to post a total good enough to earn them the only win in the three-match tournament.
Openers WTS Porterfield and PR Stirling gave their side a steady start, as the duo posted an opening stand of 25 runs, before Stirling became the first victim of the day, perishing after scoring an innings of 17 runs off 13 deliveries.
NJ O'Brien was then sent up the order and this position suited the batsman, as he jabbed an important partnership with his opener, taking the score to 71 runs, before Ireland suffered the loss of their second wicket with Porterfield departing after scoring an innings of 28 runs.
Bangladesh came right back in the game on grabbing the wicket of O'Brien, who fell after scoring an innings of 22 runs, with his team standing on a total of 77 runs.
His brother, KJ O'Brien, on the other hand, continued his bad spell as he departed without scoring a run.
With four wickets down, Ireland were again coming under pressure, while Bangladesh saw it as an opportunity to come back in the match.
Mashrafe Mortaza from Bangladesh, proved extremely destructive, as he nabbed four wickets and left the Irish batting line-up in complete disarray.
Meanwhile, DT Johnston smashed an unbeaten innings of 24 runs, to help his side post enough runs on the board to give his bowlers a serious chance of winning the game.
