The cloudy conditions pushed Hansra to put the opposition to bat after winning the crucial toss. However, his bowlers failed to make an impact, letting the Irish batsmen build a big innings.

Since a solid platform was set by the top-order, it was not a tough task for the succeeding batsmen to have a go. Joyce top-scored the innings by smashing a beautiful innings of 88 runs with help of eight fours and a towering six.
Niall O’Brien charmed 37 runs, while http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GC-Wilson-c1474 hit an unbeaten 56-run-knock. Later in the innings, Kevin O’Brien’s blistering innings of 35 off 15 balls helped the Irish side reach a mighty total of 328 for the loss of six wickets after 50 overs.

To overcome the strong Ireland side, the Canadians needed 329 at a scoring rate of over-6.5 per over.
