Irish Dance - Impress the judges!?

Hi! I'm currently dancing in U11 Novice, and need some tips to impress the judges. I know:

  2. Well one thing that makes or breaks a dancer is how much they put into it. You can't just get up there and dance. You have to have the attitude and the charisma to prove to them that you really deserve to be there.

  3. You need to be 13 years old to participate in Y!A-sorry.

    Most dancers that do Irish at comps, completely forget to smile. So make sure you plaster that smile on no matter how hard your concentrating. Look the judge in the eye, it doesn't matter if you feel silly-chances are you will never see him/her ever again.

    Are you doing hardshoe or softshoe? If hardshoe, keep your beats clear and jumps high.
