Irish Reel all set for taking down the field of Racing Again Tomorrow Handicap
The flooding of sixteen entries in the Racing Again Tomorrow Handicap has left quite a few loop holes, along with many candidates with the promise to improve. The three-year-old and above contestants will try their luck over the mile and a furlong track on Monday, 8th October, 2012 at Tipperary race course. The runners have all emerged from divergent backgrounds, and different rankings.
An entry to have recently claimed a race at the same race course is the five-year-old chestnut mare, Irish Reel. She has raced twelve times during the current season, and the only time she could visit the winner’s enclosure was at Tipperary.
Redback’s mare bagged the £4,887.50 prize money of the Meadowview Stables Handicap on 23rd August, 2012 at Tipperary over a mile and a furlong. The favourite entry was paired up with jockey, Chris Hayes.
Despite getting threatened with the final two furlongs on the horizon, she did not cut short on her courageous form, and defeated Circle by the margin of 1 ¼ lengths.
The outing that followed the success was a horrible disaster as she was the last one to leave the track.
The distance that she will get to race over is the same as the one that got her the winner’s crown, and to top that off, the track condition is similar too, heavy.
She has drawn the tenth stall, and will get accompanied by jockey, Pat Smullen, once again.
Another potential candidate in the field is the four-year-old chestnut filly, Vasoni. She has experience of racing at the track, but has not been able to credit a race against her name as success.
Two out of her seven seasonal tries were at Tipperary, a second score and then a fifth ending.
She lost the Follow Tipperary Races On Facebook Handicap (Division II) on 24th July, 2012 at Tipperary over 7 ½ furlongs.
It was just half-length margin of which the favourite winner, Fit The Cove, took advantage.
She gets to ride with, W. J. Lee from the eleventh stall.
