Irish Visitor to CA for 3 weeks wants internet facility for Lap Top?

I am going to California for three weeks in Aug/Sept. and my

internet service would cost me a fortune to use while away from Ireland. Can anybody advise me if I can purchase or

hire a moden for my Mac Book (I think it is called a moden

the piece you plug into your lap top and it allows you go on

the internet, I will only need it for the holiday period.

Can anybody help me I am addicted to my internet.

Do u have a wireless card in your computer? A lot of places in CA have free wireless service (like university campuses). There are Starbucks everywhere; they have a small charge to access the internet wirelessly from their cafes or some free time with purchase of a card, might be your best bet. See the link below.
