  1. Not till they got here to America, and could not get the "bacon" they were used to. I dunno about the bread.

  2. Corned beef is a New England thing, and since most Irish immigrants ended up there, and since American bacon is not at all the same as Irish bacon....compromises were made

  3. idk

  4. In Ireland, back int he old days, they were poor. SO they ate corn beef.

But when they became emigrants to america, they ate all sort of food. But, we eat corn beef on st.patricks day in honor of our remembrance to the history of ireland.

  5. umm. well traditionally it was bacon and cabbage and it still is in ireland. however it  was not as easy to come upon in the US and it was cheaper to use cornedbeef at first when peopel emmigrated from ireland. so today most pple still think it is cornedbeef and cabbage when in reality its bacon and cabbagee....

as for your question about irish soda bread im not really suree what you meann. soo im gonna give it a tryy it has baking soda in t which im guessing is why its called soda breadd.....yes its traditionally an irish bread hence the irish in the name lol
